Visitor Buttons
Visitor buttons allow visitors etc. who do not have a remote control to open the gate. They are usually mounted on a post, rail, wall etc. on either side of the gate and well clear of the gate so that they can be operated from the window of a vehicle.
There are three types of visitor buttons:
• Hard Wired
• Wireless
• Keypad with PIN number
Hard Wired Visitor Button
This button requires a cable to be run from the button to the control box.
Wireless Visitor Button
This button consists of a weather proof button mounted on a small box with wireless transmitter that does not require any cabling to the control box. It can be mounted on any surface or post etc. that is within radio range (50 - 100mtrs) of the control box.
Powder Coated Visitor Button Cover
This cover can be mounted on any surface including the metal visitor post. It is designed to provide mechanical and weather protection for all visitor buttons.
Metal Visitor Post
A 1600mm metal post, pre-drilled wih pole cap, that can be concreted into the ground and used to mount all visitor buttons.
Longer poles are also available that have two push buttons, one for large vehicles that require a higher push button/keypad such as busses and trucks, and one mounted at nornal height for cars and 4WD's etc.
Keypad with PIN Number
The Wirless Keypad requires no cabling and can be mounted in a position the same as the Wireless Visitor Button. It allows programming of different PIN numbers for selected people to use and open the gate.
Remote Control Options
Additional Remote Controls
Two remote controls are included in every kit, however additional remotes can be added for additional family, friends, work colleagues etc.
Gate Lock
For added security a button on the remote can be programmed to disable all remotes and visitor buttons from opening the gate. This may be useful if you do not want people entering your property when you leave for the day/week or go to bed at night.
Stay Open
A button on your remote control can be programmed to open the gate and gate stays open (auto close disabled). Gate can then be closed with the Open/Close button.
Pedestrian Access
A button on your remote control can be programmed to stop
the gate when it is partially open to allow pedestrian access and prevent vehicles from entering.
Photo Electric Sensor
The Photo Electric Sensor is used to delay the auto gate close timer from timing out to close the gate. This may be necessary where large vehicles use the gate and require the gate to remain open for a longer period.
When a vehicle breaks the PE sensor it will delay the automatic timer from timing out and closing the gate.
The PE Sensor is of industrial quality and is rated at IP67 for outdoor use.
Vehicle Loop
A vehicle loop can be used either side of the gate to open the gate when a vehicle drives over the loop.
Long Distance Remotes
Long distance remote controls (up to 3 km) can be installed to control the gate opening/closing, gate lock, gate stay open, etc.
Gate Opening Alarm
A Gate opening alarm can be fitted to your gate controller to sound an alarm at one or more locations such as your home, shed etc.
This alarm has a range of up to 2km.
If a PE sensor is fitted to stop gate closing on a vehicle, this can also be used to sound alarm if gate is left open and a vehicle enters.
